Well, yesterday was my first time that I went to the 1/4 mile. I am really high above sea level, my city stands 4300 ft, 1/4 mile times usually go up around 1.4 - 1.8 seconds. (sucks)
So My first race was against a Mustang GT 1998, It was my first time ever and I got a 1.3 reaction time and the mustang got a 660 time. He beat my by one car and a half. He did 16.800 and I did 17.400. Meaning that If I got the same reaction time it woulve been dead even. It was an automatic v8 mustang and I bet that if next time I race him ill beat him by a meter or so...My point is that everybody says that V8 stangs GTs are really fast and that b16s dont have a change, well...I just proved it, we are dead even.
2nd race Riced up Golf 2.0 aluminium wing on the roof (beat him by more than 10 cars)
3rd race Supercharged chevy pickup (dont have that model in the US) beat him by 7 cars
4th race Mustang 69 v8 beat him by more than 8 cars
5th race Chevrolet Impala 2003 beat him by 1 car and a half
6th race Chevrolet Impala once again....beat him by 3 cars
7th race Audi 99 1.8 Turbo beat him by 4 cars
So that was the evening came out pretty happy because I got many kills with my stock 99 SiR b16a2 EBP...Against the Audi I got a .546 reaction time...Wow!
Probably the best thing was that I was beat by the mustang Gt by 1 and a half car cause of my reaction time...Now I know that with my stock 1.6 I can play rough with 4.6 V8S...awesome

i guess im jus blessed w/ a nice an low elevation track...
not a bad time for the level.
keep practicing ur driving an u'll get into 16's (which would be 15's around sea level).

A faster reaction time doesn't make your time any lower, it just shows how fast you react to the green light. The actual timer begins once you hit the gas. You could wait after green for 10 seconds and then go, and still get the 16 second time. Point is, the 4.6 was faster than your car.

What Ricochet said -- TRUE
yes but if i get a better reaction time than the STANG i can go past the line faster and maybe win, altough hell have a better time. What surprised me is that most people say GT stangs are real fast, an SiR doesent have a chance, maybe not, but I only lost by 1 and a half car and i got .6 seconds retarded reaction time.

with your best time of 17 seconds?
Was every vehicle was slower than 17 seconds?
Did you leave the line at the same time or did you have a head start?
BTW congrats on going to the track. Great experince and great ways to make you vehicle faster!:grinyes:

If you wanna "win" just by crossing the finish line first you could always redlight :)
