Maybe you still remember my previous post were I asked you to choose one concept, well here is the end result. I couldn't keep the shape I wanted because I hadn't had enough room for the electronical components:mad: . Here it is

If I´m remembering right it wasn´t in the old list! But I like this design more than most of the old designs!!:)

This was the one that came best out the test. I had to make some serious changes to get all the components in.

On my work I'm busy with finding new software for our fem - work (finite elements)... we're now using Ansys but thinking of buying another package like pro-engineer combined with pro-mechanica for better 3d solid modelling. I've seen some examples and they look alike. It could have been solid works also I think. Have you experience with solid works? what do you think works better for modelling... solid works or pro-e? especially when modifing dimensions afterwards?

I only have experience with Pro-E, so I really can't compare with other programs. Drawing in Pro-E is very easy, the only problem is the rendering of the pic. Most people I know cut and paste the image from Pro-E to 3Dstudiomax to render it.
You can alter dimensions afterwords very easy in Pro-E if you have put values at the sketch. If you haven't done this you have to go back to the sketch and this takes a bit longer.
