Hey,
My suspension teacher assigned me to find out caster, camber, and toe adjustments on a '72 caprice. I don't own a caprice so I tried searching the Internet for the adjustments and had no luck!
I was wondering if anyone has ever worked on one and could answer these questions for me.
Can rear alignment be adjusted and if so how?
What would the adjustments for caster, camber, and toe be?
(if applicable).
If anyone could help me out with this I would appreciate it.
Thanks

Reply if you still need this info. I'm pretty sure the alignment machine where I work has the specs. The caster/camber is adjusted by shimming the upper control arm. The toe is adjusted by two threaded sleeves on the tie rod.

Ummm, did you say "rear" alignment? Don't think it's possible to adjust the alignment on a 72 Caprice rearend...it's a solid axle.

Rear alignment is not possible, but should be checked. Bent housings have caused their share of front end alignment problems. Any GOOD alignment shop does 4 wheel alignments, allowing the condition of the rear end to be compensated for... Ray
