Did i do something wrong

okay a couple of days ago i decide to check m spark plugs and i found that the one of the Bosch Super Plugs was f#### so i decided to goto advanced and get some more only they didn't have any so i got NGK plugs with copper core and when i put them in and test drove it when i acclerated their was a clicking noise come from the engine bay si i finally founds a place with the super plugs and got those and the clicking is still their.

dont use bosch plugs. look under your hood. it will say to use NGK. ONLY USE NGK WITH HONDAS.

i agree bosch is not good for honda motors use OEM NGK plugs

yea i'll agree i used the platium +2s there ok but now i'm using NGK iriduims lot nicer i'm going to keep with NGKs from now on. Also FUJI heavy plugs rule there JDM only unless you get subie plugs all the mechainces *sp* near me say subies plugs are teh bomb.

well i saw a test that someone did between busch plats and iridiums and the plats gave a slightly better power increase

those are it :) they weren't better than the denso, but very very very close. better than NGK however, i'm glad i found that before i bought them

What's the big deal which brand you use? There are obvious differences between regular copper, Platinum, Iridium, and Gold Palladium plugs. But for regular applications any brand plug will do a good job. They are all high quality products. In my opinion, one of the reasons Honda recommends NGK or ND (Nippon Denso) spark plugs is Honda is a Japanese company and they want you to use Japanese parts to keep Japanese workers employed (or money rolling into Japanese companies) which is perfectly acceptable. The other possible reason is the label under the hood was probably printed in Japan (or the information for the label came from the Japanese HQ) and they referenced easliy sourced part numbers. I don't think they would bother looking around for the Champion part numbers, especially if those parts are hard to come by in Japan. To say use only NGK in a Honda is a little short sighted. :2cents:
BTY, I'm using Autolite plugs and she runs great.

I was told not to use Bosch plugs on my Honda because they get too hot and can melt the threads in the head (that the plug screws into). I've always used NGK's anyway.

In response to the clicking noise, I'm not an expert, but check your timing. I had the same problem and I retarded my timing and it went away. The cheapest easiest way to mess with your timing is to rotate your distributor. You can loosen the 3 10 mm bolts that hold it to the engine and either advance or retard it by toggling it towards the bay or away from the bay and re tightening the bolts. You might have to do it several times before you find the right position.... Like I said though... this worked for me when I heard clicking noises and havent heard them since. Dont know what your situation is though.
