Hey guys I'm outside waxing my car. I was wandering what you guys use to clean the black and grey plastic under the doors and the rear bumper I'm never satisfied it seems I get some wax on it and it never comes off.

I use Mequire's Endurance tire gel and work it in with a fine bristle nylon brush. It cleans out whatever's in the pores of the plastic and makes it look brand new for weeks. Plastic/vinyl protectant just doesn't last. You may have to re-apply sooner depending on weather in your area.

Thanks Indy I'll have to give it a try. I tried a little kerosene on it and the white still came back.

If you have some areas with excess wax, it might just be easier to remove it first using an old toothbrush and Simple Green. Less brushing of the Endurance required to achieve a uniform finish.

cold water might help the wax to flake off while scrubbing
