'93 SR5 w/ 68K miles.
When I take a hard left (u-turn, parking, etc) the right front tire/axle goes CLUNK! It does not affect the turning, or the ride itself, and it still drives straight. Previous owner said that no one can figure out what it is. Anyone heard of this prob?

the reason is that on IFS trucks, on the lower steering knuckle they put bumstops to limit turning. and they came with teflon nuts covering them but they wear out over time and then the metal bumpstop hits and makes a clunking noise and full turn.

Hi,
I have been noticing the same problem with my 93 toyota pickup, and a couple months ago I recieved a recall notice from toyota stating that the toyota's and 4 runners have recalls on the steering relay rods. I am taking it in on wednesday and getting it fixed.
