ticking noise b/t head and manifold

i popped my hood open to do the usual checking to see if anythings different..so the cars on idle and i hear a ticking noise..couldnt tell where it was coming from but and i closed in on the upper part of the engine head and the intake manifold it sounds like its coming from inbetween there or around that area..does anyone know what it could be? i was thinking around the fuel rail part..any help..oh its on a 99 gsr w i/h/e

Most likely the fuel injectors - Honda/Acura injectors are very loud.

more than likely your hearing valve tick, for a quick fix, take the valve cover off and just hand tighten down to nuts on top of your valves. but for a real fix your gonna need to find the specs for the motor, and use a feeler guage and measure everything out right.
