Keyless Entry

i just bought a 99 escort SE and received very little information on it from the prior owner. is there a way to tell if it already is set up for keyless entry. I did not recieve any remotes with the car.
If it is set up for keyless, can I buy a remote that will be programmable for this car?

The way to find out if your car is equiped with keyless entry is to try this. what you do is get into your car and close all the doors then insert the key in the ign. rotate the key to the on but not start position 4 time within 10 seconds if it works the locks should lock and unlock by them self. if that does not work then try the same for 5 rotation 6,and 8. and remember do not crank the engine at any time if you do restart by starting the engine and opening and closing the door. if the door locks lock and unlock in any of the rotations your car is equiped with the keyless entry. the same thing happend to me and i just went to a speaker store (advandced audio) bought a key pad and a friend programed it email me at [email protected] and i will get the papers outta my car and give you the site
