Alright i baught this 1991 GSX and the water pump was leaking so i ordered a new pump and timing belt kit.
i replaced the new things and i had it running int he garage and after about a minute of running it developed a bit if a pingy tap, nothing load but just noticable under load or when reved from idle, so now today i pull it out and after moving the car the noise is loder and the car it misfireing, so i shut it down and about a 1/2 hour later i go to start it and its a load ass fast clanking noise! like its constant not like a bang so i shut it down and pushnit back in the shop and pulled the valve cover off and checked for somthing loose in there but it was fine now i have the vlave cover back on with about 5 bolts and it won't start it turns over fine no noise or anything but it won't fire the plugs are wet but ok and it seems to have spark and fuel so what could be the problem?? it ran fine for about a good half hour the other day and now it dosn't eun at all!! help!!

Did you at least use the page at www.vfaq.com when doing the timing belt? A bad tbelt job is the number one reason for dead DSMs. Check the compression, I'll bet you 3 beers and a dozen wings the valves are bent. :(
