I have a 1996 Maxima GXE and the stock "clicker" to open the trunk, unlock, and lock the doors is no longer working. I have changed the battery on the "clicker" but it did not change anything. I was thinking it could be associated with a fuse or something. I was wondering if any of you could help me.
Thanks

the same thing happened to my 96 max. i went to a nissan dealer and they checked it out and determined that both of my remote beepers weren't working.
But beware... DO NOT buy new beepers, especially from the dealer, that's a lot of $$$$$$$$. What I did was buy two used remotes through ebay and it was a total of less that $60.00 for both beepers.
I did the activation of the beepers myself from the instructions that you can find in lots of web pages. So you don't have to waste any money taking the beepers to be activated at a Nissan dealer.
