Wheels Paint are Flaking

I own a 2000 Rodeo, the wheels' paint are flacking. The dealer, of course, told me that this is not covered under warrantee (12 mos cosmentic). This looks to me that it is a manufacturers issue, I only have 30K miles. Are there any tech bulletins recalling the wheels.
Really stinks, washed it today and watched the paint fall right off. Other than the squeeks, knocking, poor shocks and peelin paint, pretty happy with the Rod a o (as my wife calls it).

peted- there's not much you can do aside from re-paint or replace them. Wire wheel the bad spots, wash them down with thinner or alcohol & repaint with silver wheel paint that can be had at any auto parts store. I know what you mean. One Buffalo winter with my 2002 & mine got some small rusty spots. Another option is keep the steel wheels for winter use & get a nice set of factory aluminum- rodeo or passport wheels from eBay & use them the rest of the year.

We also have a 2000 and had the same trouble with the wheels. We got them replaced under the normal warranty. Maybe you could try a different dealer if there is one in the area.
