Problems replacing the engine of a 1977 320i

Hello, 4 months ago, because of a moronic mistake, the engine in my 1977 320i cracked. I put cold water in a hot engine.. yea yea, i was stupid. Anyway, Eventually i got the money to buy a new engine for it, i had a mechanic put it in, but theres a problem.

for some reason, the fuel system isnt working. Fuel isnt getting to the engine at all, all the fuses and the master switch/relay are working, the car turns over fine, it just wont start cause no gas is getting to it.

Does anyone have any ideas as to why this would happen? Thanks in advance for any help you can provide!

The furl pump relay must get a signal from the ignition to activate.

Hmm..

I really didn't understand your response..

Could you go into more detail? the schematics you showed me dont make any sense.

To troubleshoot the fuel issue you must be able to follow a diagram.

The diagrams I supplied should be given to the mechanic who will fix the car.
