Heater not working

Hello,

I have a 1999 Sub and the heater quit working. The A/C works fine, the fan works fine, just no heat. Dampers? Heater Core?(I doubt it). Thanks in advance.

does the radiator have coolant in it?

Does your rear heater work? This would show the water pump is pumping hot water into the circuit.

If you call for heat in the front unit (by turning on the fan and selecting a hot temp) can you detect any heat from the heater core? Feel the heater hoses in the engine compartment all the way to the firewall.

Do you hear the dampers switch positions when you change flow direction settings such as def to floor? (Dampers shouldn't have much to do with this as they leak anyways and you'll feel heat out of the Def when you set them to Floor.

Heater cores don't usually clog so early in life ('99) but it can depend on how clean your cooling system is. Did you do anything to your cooling system in the last 6 months?

That was it! I took it over to a friend's house (a chevy nut) and he put more coolant in it and...viola! We have heat! Thanks guys.
