1995 buick riviera

I had the check engine lite come on and the tranny go into limp mode.
took it to nearest gararge and he said it was the code vss. went to transmission place and he pulled same code. he changed the vss and did not fix it. he said it may be the ignition switch. i drove it home and it went in and out of limp mode. i changed the ignition relay under the back seat. the car ran 500 miles and now has started with the same problems. no speedo, and the check engine lite off and on.

if it is the ignition is there a work around.. thanks tom

if the speedo doesn't work but the RPM gage does... then the problem isn't in any of the ignition systems... if it was the RPM gage would be all funny... you might want to have the wires to the VSS check... I've had a few worn wires under the hood.
