Has anyone tried out the AEM's V2 intake yet? Of the ones out there it looks like it produces the best results/sound, of course that is from readin AEM's own information.

I just bought a 1999 RS a week ago and I need to start upgrading.

I personally don't like aem, but I heard that the v2 has the same quality as the original aem cold air intake.

duckydsp: What cold air intake do you use? I have seen many brands out there being sold as well as many cheap knock offs on eBay.

My theory has always been 'you get what you pay for' as many are familiar with so I am not as hesitant to spend a bit more for a good intake.

What other brands have produced good results for DSMers out there? Any input is appreciated =]

I use a vibrant which surprised me by giving me about an extra 8 hp and a noticeable difference between the stock. I only spent $90 on it too. One of my boys had a k&n intake which did him real well. I would say IMO K&N is prolly the best with dsms.

With name brand performance parts sometimes you just pay for a name and get the same performance as any other cheap brand out there. In my opinion I was just saying that I don't like AEM and I was told it was the same performance by a friend who has the v2 on his probe after throwing away the original cold air intake by AEM, that's all.
