Suspension Work and Popping Sounds???

I have a 95 Integra GS-R and am in the process of upgrading the suspesion. I wondered what anyone has had good experience with a certain brand or type or any that have had bad experiences so I know what to avoid. I am looking at the Tein SS for it although it might be more than I need since I have no plans on racing the car. Any input would be nice.

I have one problem with the suspension now and hopefully someone can answer this. I have Eibach Sportline springs and a Progress camber kit on the car as far as suspenion goes. There is also a Skunk2 rear-lower tie bar for stiffness. I am having popping and pinging sounds from the front suspension??? What is this :banghead: ???????? I have had people tell me that it is the springs, the struts, the roll bar, and other things. I replaced the CV joints expecting that to be the popping sound but it neither got any better or worse. Some has to know what this is and what will fix it??? Will the tein SS kit fix it or is it over kill for the price, where I could use the money on a VIS carbonfiber hood or something???

Check your front suspension for any bad bushings, ball joints, tie rods, end links, etc. If you can't figure it out, take it to the dealer & have it inspected, they will charge 1/2 hr. of labor & probably say its something to do with the aftermarket parts.

Are you still using stock shocks? I'd say those are probably no good. Can you duplicate the noise by bouncing the car? When does the noise occur, speed, turning, braking, etc.

If you don't actually need or have the extra $$$$ for coilovers, good springs & shocks do very well. With any shock, spring, coilover price reflects quality. Stick with the well known companies H&R, Eibach, Neuspeed, Koni, Tein, Bilstein, KYB, etc. IMO coilovers are a waste for street use only.

The sounds occur most often when you are just driving down the road. Turning, braking or anything else does not make it any worse or better. Yes the shocks are stock but I will be replacing them within the next month and no the sound is not recreated by bouncing the front end. I thin it is more of the roll bars or the ball joints but it is hard to tell since it only makes the sound while driving. Like I said my plans are for tein SS coilover kit which I am hoping will get the sound to stop but also make my car handle alot better.

Another reason that I want to rid myself of the Eibach springs is the wheel gap in the front. It lowers the car but leaves a gap still in the front while the back is nice and level with the fender. So I want the car to have a even set on the front and back thats the reason for something adjustable.
