i need this information for a gay science fair project that is due rather soon. any help would be welcome. :)
what's a good website where i can find information such as gas mileage for all kinds of different cars??
also... on normal cars (pt cruiser and honda accord) how much of a change would there be in gas mileage with the different octanes? i'm guessing it would go up for middle and do down a little for super.

I can't help you directly but start with any car club sites. They usually lead to huge multi site that does hit counting. From there it shouldn't take too long.
Sorry I couldn't help much better.

Get on the EPA and the department of transportation government web sites. They'll have information you need. Check out consumers report. KB already pointed you towards google.

For a given car, there should be no appreciable difference in MPG between octanes as long at the minimum requirement is met. The octane rating only has to be as high as needed to prevent detonation (pinging), past that point there is no benefit (or detriment) to using higher octane pump gasolines.
If the octane rating is below the minimum for a particular engine, it will ping and mileage will suffer.
As del pointed out, edmunds & carpoint should have all the info you need on mileage ratings.
Here is the mega-FAQ on gasoline! :D
