size of alternator

ok thanks, now its a matter of what size. would anybody have any suggestions of what size of alternator i should get? i dont know that much about alternators so i would appreciate the help. thanks

When it comes to upgrading the alternator, you cannot go too big. Look at the case on the unit you have now, and go as big as you can afford. Going big now will allow the use of additional accessories, such as driving lights, stereo equipment etc, without worrying about the battery.

i believe that the factory alternator is a 60 amp. you can go higher than that but you want to make sure that you dont get a 14.4v or a 15v.
