raced a new WRX tonight.......

just curious if anyone has raced one and beat it? cuz i got fuckin stomped......

ive got a 89' HF with a B18A in it and this guy killed me.......im alright now that i talked to a friend who knows him and says the guy runs just barely over a 13 flat didnt know any mods tho........is that what they all run?

They arent all that.My friend in his 91 hf crx with a dohc zc beat one down at the race track(qualcom).The new STI's are fast they have 300 hp the older wrx has about 227 u probably raced the new STI

he actually wasnt an STi........but he has a gang of mods......he had stickers all up the side of his fender but i cant see at night through my tint very well lol so yeah.......

the new WRX STI have 300 hp / 300 ft.-lb torque to the fly wheel. They run stock 13's but hog so much gas lol in the 20 on highway and lower then that on street. the STI cost around 30g so ur honda + difference in that will get u to run a hella lot faster. It might have been an RS also with mods. Usually people hook up RS with WRX engine caust they all share the same chassis.

try a mk3 supra for gas consumption :)

The WRX has never been that fast .. usually around 220bhp as standard its the STIs that have the power..

more expensive or not, i'd rather roll an STi than a done up 4th gen

since when did 14.1 become slow for a factory spec 4 cyl?

my friend has an ef9 with a long list of mugen and spoon upgrades...and by no means is his car slow. He raced an evo...and same outcome. You gotta figure, once that turbo is spooled...you can pretty much forget about it. :grinno:

even the 227hp wrx runs a low 14 stock, so with any mods your breaking 13's. the STI 300hp wrx runs a 13.1 stock, so again any kind of mods would put you into the 12's. for a 4cyl thats amazing. anyway dont feel bad you lost to one, just dont go out and try to race an evo8.

Ok A guy I know in hanford (steve) the one that wrote this post On obd0 to obd1 convertion http://www.thezcr.com/html/odbiconversion.php. He recently ran a STi and beat it by 2 car lenths running about 10-12lbs of boost in his stock d16z6 (minor mods = stock) 89 civic. It did not happen once but 3 times. This guy can drive really good talks alot of shit but can drive. Saw it so not hear say.

hey i know that guy, he used to have a shop called modern performance. he has a primered hatch and a turbo emblem on it. team skidtron right. is he still running the greddy turbo? and where do u guys race over there? man i never would have thought his car was that fast.

sti can run 12's stock if your not afraid to launch.....

oh and slap a turbo on that b18 and you'll be right with him :naughty:
