cam gears

I want to put some high preformance cam gears in my 92 prelude si does anyone know if i would be wasting my money or not? and are there any other things i would need first?

You don't really need cam gears unless you are going in depth into tuning you engine. Adjustable cam gears allow you to change the cam timimg to advanced or retarded 10 degrees. For a stock engine you might see a 2 or 3 horsepower increase by advancing it a couple of degrees. But by advancing the cam, you greatly increanse your chance of detonation. Bye Bye motor. Sure they are lighter, but there not gonna give you power you can feel unless you've got a highly tuned engine and you really know what your doing. Try getting a supercharger or a turbocharger. They are both well worth the extra money vs I/H/E. Then get you some cam gears and play around.
