Improve Ride Quality - Springs/Shocks

I've got a 2000 Civic EX w/ Neuspeed Race Springs on 205/40/17's. (about 2 1/4" drop in the front, 2" in the rear) I just got an Ingalls Camber kit which I'll be putting on shortly but am thinking I want to do something to improve the ride of the car while I'm at it. I've still got my factory shocks, (55,000 lowered miles so they're probably about shot anyway) I was thinking of getting the Koni yellows but I'm wondering if it will really make that much of a difference. I like a firmer ride than factory, but its excessively harsh right now. Do you think the koni's would give me a decent ride with these springs or do I need to consider a different spring and raising the car back up some? (even though i'd hate to do that) Don't want to spend 500 bucks on the Koni's and there not be much of a difference. It's my daily dirver so looking to blend performance & function i guess . . . . .

Thanks---

Do not use lowering springs with stock shocks! Those shocks can not control those springs propery, resulting in a shitty ride. Yes aftermarket shocks will make a huge difference. Koni's will be fine & should improve things.

I have a very similar set-up. My car came with Neuspeed Sport springs. They're the green one's, and i think the Race one's are yellow? not sure about that though. I now have Koni Yellows and though they're not perfect, the adjustability is a big plus. When I got them installed i told them to put it on the softest setting, they didn't, it was somewhere in between firm and soft. Leaning more towards firm. So while the handling was nice, it was too bumpy. Got the adjustable knobs out and put all four on the softest setting. I like it. Good choice, but where'd you end up getting them at?
