IMO

Tint = good
Altezza's = bad
Green 4 door w/ body kit = Unique and good
Wheels = Unique look. Those are some skinny spokes. What kind? How much? How large? Weight?

Sweet another fart-canned Civic with altezzas, a played out Buddy Club bumper, and heavy oversized rims.

just my personal opinion, rims are not what i want but looks good on your car. what size are those? are those 17"s? arent they too big? is the ride bumpy? id go with 16"s or 15"s though. but looks good on your car.

rims are a too skinny, rest of the car is ok, with the exception of altezzas.

The real question is what's under the hood? Using my psychic senses I see a sohc with a cold air intake and colored spark plug wires.

not everyone has the same taste or same interests in their car, and some people should just not say anything about other people since their car probably isnt what they want it to be which is why they have to continually find other people, with nice cars, to mess with.

LOL i cant wait to see what will be said to me now that i basically just said that I HATE WHEN PEOPLE CRITICIZE OTHERS CAUSE THEY DONT HAVE THE SAME THOUGHTS OR IDEAS......................grow up...really.

Come on now Ricochet...you shouldnt make comments like that

nice clean civic...just like everyone elses.

another thing that i hate. dont "show off" your car then never come back to the site...pisses me off. why even show your car off if youre not gonna take the criticism?

I believe they are ADR's, not sure what the model name is though.

JW, how much do you think the 17's slowed you down in the 1/4?

looks good, i like the body kit w/ those rims. I really liked the altezzas when they first came out and almost got them but decided later my 00EX coupe lights (all red/clear - - no orange) looked better on my car.

still it looks nice how its put together

Mine are ADR's and imo they probably slowed me down 0.5 - 1.0 seconds. Heavy wheels really only hurt launches as it takes more torque to get them from a stop to a spin. Once the rotational mass is already in movement it takes about the same force to keep them going as it would for the steelies. My launches were horrible with the rims and I can definitly tell a difference in 0 - go on the street, it picks right up off the line now.

Thanx for the opinions!
What kinda tails would you guys like on the car?
The rims are 17's,....and like 17lbs per rim.
They are glossy black on the inner spokes and polished on the lip and front. Looks real good in person.
I have a sohc with i/h/e and spark plugs. I was planning on building up to get a turbo but am trying to get rid of the car and start on a new project.

im loving the car man, nice 4-door. Don't take most of the things these guy say to heart. If that's what you prefer than you did a good job. Nice glossy paint, and Nice Kit. I wanted to do something like it before but now i'm going to probably have to get a 2door 95 civic ex. Oh well, overall though i love you car.

the biggest problem I have with it is the tail lights... they just KILL it man, get that shit off there and it will be lookin much better. RED/CLEAR Si type

your car does look nice, but its very cliche. lol
i cant talk too much myself.... as u can see by my car. but you can fix that. Try conversions. lexus IS 300 tail lights, and supra headlights would make your car very unique. they judge unique cars very highly at car shows.

u need bigger brake rotors, those rims make them look like they're rotors off a scooter :( besides, bigger rotors would be in your interest since you've obviously got some oversized wheels...stopping better is always nice hehe. of course, you'd have to replace pads and calipers in front too, but in the end about $500 in parts and a afternoon in the garage would give you some sweet braking power. you could do all out and do some braided brake lines too for an additional $200 and those would show through those rims too.

cuba3377
12-03-2003, 03:51 AM
that is true. all though you cant see it too well, i have cross drilled brake rotors. they arent big brake kit though. i guess i went the cheepe way ^ ^
u think its expensive to get braided brake lines?

JakeDrummer

your tails are disturbingly ricey. asides from that looks nice.

Ricochet
12-03-2003, 06:02 PM
It's a Civic, how unique can it possibly be? It's all been said and done before, just depends where you put the ps2, where you put your gauges, and what body kit you buy (which have all been said and done too). imo a unique Civic would be a stock one.

99% of the time, I hate altezzas with a passion, but for some reason they don't look bad on your car. I don't rag on altezzas every time I see them. Yes, they're incredibly played-out, but if everyone went for the OEM tails (which is starting to happen), they'd be played-out too. Not a fan of the rims, but the paint looks nice.

xoriceboi
12-04-2003, 11:51 AM
Yeah i know what you guys mean with the tails. But i swapped from the other altezzas to these and i think they look pretty good. I actually tried to get the si tails but at the time they didn't have them in stock.......Bigger rotors? How would i go about doing that?

Ricochet
12-04-2003, 04:04 PM
You could buy AEM big brake kits which come with new rotors, fitting calipers, and pads. I think the whole kit costs like $400 maybe? Just a guesstimation. I know rotors are cheap, calipers aren't, and pads relatively are ($70 or so).

I like the car man. Its a good look. Classy, and stylish.Ignore the disses ur gettin on here. As long as ur payin the bills and not ur folks, do whatever you want with it bro. However, I must agree on the Altezza's. Sorry man, but toooo many ppl got them as soon as they came out. Conversions are the way to go. Dig the rims too man. Post some pics of engine mods if you've done any. I'd like to see wut you've got under there.

Ricochet, I agre with everything you said up until this point. That Civic is well. Lame. and are you kidding me 17lbs per rim! that is ridiclous, with unsprung weight being as important as it is that is crazy. And the Altezzas completly destroy the look of the car. But hey its his car.
But anyway that big brake kit is more like $2500, you can get a big rotor kit (no calipers or pads) for a lot less. I am pretty sure on this cause one is about to go on the front of mine.
