There aren't very many CRX's in my town, but there is this gathering every wednsday down at the local Checker's where all the ppl with pimped out cars go to chill. Then they go somewhere to race, I decided to go down there and check it out. I managed to find another CRX there with a nice kit on it. So I my friend set me up a race with him, it was an Si with basic mods, and I have my CRX HF with dx tranny and dx motor, just headers and basic mods. My clutch slipped all the way through first gear which let him pull ahead of me by about 6 in. After that we stayed completly even the rest of the way! Both he and I were very surprized. He was shocked to find out I just had a DX motor. Is it that I have an HF that would make that much of a difference? 'Cause doesn't the dx motor have stock 92 hp and the Si have 108? It was fun 'cause it was my first race against another CRX and I was suprized at the results.

you guys most likely stayed even in the race because both of your cars' power to weight ratios balanced out.

OMG is the only thinig i can say, it made SOOOO much of a difference, I know I'd got my ass handed to me, you can hit like 85mph in second gear with that damn tranny, you will prolly be in the high 15's when you get that tranny in.

well, i have an HF and I just have an old DX motor and DX tranny, and he has the zc motor, and I ran a 16.2 on the g-tech. Which is about .2 off so I think he will be pretty close to that if he drives it right. I donno what other mods he has, but I do have headers, int, and full exaust. How much hp is the ZC stock?

I have a 1989 Honda Civic Si Hatchback. When I shift from 4th to 5th gear, the car revs up. What is the problem and how can I fix it by myself?

You got me, but it'd prolly be cheaper, safer, and easier if you just bought another Si tranny.

Don't hammer on the gas while you're shifting?

hey does ne body in here want to by a (SOHC) ZC with dual carb, or does ne body up in here know someone who does. e-mail me if you or ne body else wants it. I think they have like 112 bhp. I ran a 16.2 with exhaust, and intake I have slips to prove it.

ZC (SOHC) dual point carb
53,000 miles
si 5 speed tranny
ECU & harness

$500.00-$600.00
for the whole package

no offense but why would someone pay 5-600 for your outdated motor when they can get a Dohc ZC with fuel injection for less than 400?

yo crzlvr no offense to you but that motor isnt out of date, and if you can find a DOHC ZC for 400 then ill give you mad props, but you cant. there is no place on the net that sells them for that cheap. more like 700-800 but thats without transmission. if you want proof go to www.streetimports.com thats one of the cheapest sites i have ever seen for the DOHC ZC. and another thing. ill garentee you that you have never seen one as clean and as well maintained as the one that i got. Go ahead check out that site it says 699.99 for the engine only that doesnt include tranny, ecu, or harness.
