celica gts vs rsx type s.. i have a 2000 celica gts and so far i have beatin a lot of cars. but i seem to have a problem beating my ex with a 2002 rsx type s.. i never raced her because im kinda scared to. my brother raced her in my car and she smoked him around 5.5rpms. is it the i-vtec that kicks in sooner or what..?. the vvtl-i seems to give me a big boost but. wish it would kick in sooner. anyone kno of a vvtl-i controler. i mist get :screwy:

Both are pretty quick cars. It comes down to the driver.
IIRC, I liked the type S power better... it's been a few years though... maybe a bad day for the Celica. :) lol....
Either one could beat the other.. How's your shifting skills? LOL. ;)

00' Celica GTS and a 02' RSX type-S...i personally dont like the RSX but i am not a big fans of the 2000 celica either.
To be honest, i think the RSX will win in everyway. The type-S model gives the car about 200HP, and your celica GTS has only about 180...that's the disadvantage right there. I think both cars weight pretty much the same (RSX might be a lil heavier...not really sure).
If both cars have the same Horse power then Celica is my choice...just because i like Toyota better than Acura.

yeah, rsx-S has more torque. i dont know about weight though. celica has something like 130ish ft-lbs and rsx-s has something like 140ish ft-lbs.

Anyone else realize..... that GENIOUS that posted before about all the cars he beat with his stock 6 speed GTS are on that page? torque for torque, HP for HP.... funny, because I cant always tell the exact motor or ponies out of some douche bag I raced on a whim one sunday morning.... Yes and they're hot! And to answer the topic, I don't like neither of them, but the RSX will win. And yes, the i-VTEC kicks in faster than the VVT-i. One more thing, Don't race around in your Celica like that mjackson guy.
