I am getting an 86 rx-7. I want to get it to put out a little more power for me but I don’t want to put a turbo on it because of all of the extras like the inner cooler ect. Is there a company that makes superchargers for older rx-7's I have seen ones w/ Paxton superchargers but when I went to the Paxton sight I did not even see a Mazda listed as a car that they made parts for. Any suggestions?

I have a 86 rx7 now and I've searched many sites for upgrades I'm not sure but you can try camdensuperchargers.com. I believe that they will have what you are looking for. Also ebay every once in a while will have someone trying to sell one, good luck. :eek7:

Superchargers need intercooler and all the same upgrades as a turbo does. the drawback to a SC is that it pulls power from the engine to spin up its turbine.

The supercharger does not require the use of an intercooler.

And any kind of forced induction draws power fromthe engine. unless it has its own little motor...
