jdm itr

what exactly is a jdm itr motor?
what is the base engine that they start with?
what head ,cam(S)?
i hear all this talk about it but have never seen any spec's:confused:

A JDM ITR motor is a motor from a Japanese Integra Type-R.

Called a B18C Spec-R

11.1:1 compression, slightly more aggressive cams than the US version, 4-1 headers straight from factory, and etc.

Much more desirable than the US version - but the US version can be made to be exactly like a JDM one. (except the B18C5 block stamp, but o well)
The head is the same as the US, mildly ported an polished B16A-type head.

200-205hp at the flywheel vs. the US 195.

vtec boi put it all in a nutshell, i think it is 205 at the flywheel :) even though its only ten ponies every bit helps imo

in 95-97 the B18C3 was the ITR motor and made 195 to the crank. in 98-01 the B18C5 was itroduced and it made 204.7 hp, but was rounded up to 205. what Honda of Japan doesn't want you to know is that it is governed at 200kph and has a acceleration govener to when the peddle is floored, you are only receving 9/10 throttle due to fuel lack. with the ECU fixed and ungoverned, you can make about 220 hp on this motor and top out aroun 240km at 10,000 rpms

Itr and CTR cams are NOT the same, until the 00-01 ITR, before that the ITRs were muchless aggresive.
