well my cousin blew his engine in his 91-92(one of those 2 years, they are the same so it shouldn't really matter) 240 yesterday, so far all hes found was one in oregon for $850 with 77k on it and some other one for $800 with 95k
anyone know of anywhere he can get one with a little less mileage, like 30-60k and under $1000?
hes also considering just rebuilding his old one, any opinions on this? this guy I know says he can do it for around $1500-1700, is that a good price? what kinda gains would he be looking at from this, and I hear you have to take it easy on the car for awhile after getting it rebuilt, is this true?if so, for how long and to what extent?
if you have any suggestions or opinions let me know

you can find them in junkyards for cheap, and rebuilding the KA u will need to take it slow for awhile yes, its like breaking in a car. when u rebuild ur engine its pretty much starting from new, so u needa break it in.
