1. Who has one on this board
2. Were can i get one
3. How long is the install time
4. Will my 5-speed tranny bolt up to it?
5. How much does it cost
6. How high boost can i run on it with pretty much the stock engine and feul upgrades/intercooler upgrades?
7. At that boost how much power?.
8. Are these things strong/reliable?
9. Rev limit
10. Does it come intercooler?
I just need these questions answered. They are for a friend. I know about the KA and SR and all stuff like that but these are the questions i could not answer for him , as i am not familiar with this engine. It is going to replace a KA24E w/ 200,000miles on it and he just wants something thats more fun then the KA but cheaper then the SR.
-Thanks to all who reply

i dont have one directly, but know someone that has one. Just do a search for one, you will sooner or later come on one. I would recomend just getting the whole front clip. Then you have a tranny with less miles. It would also come with the intercooler. The install time is like the sr or about the same. It is the same size block about, but heavier because cast iron. I believe it cost him under two for the swap. I cannot help you with the rest, but i believe their was an old post on this.

hit up R240 GT on AIM. he has one.
he used to post on this board as steath j or something, but was banned.
i thought that the CA block was slightly smaller then the SR, but weighed nearly the same.
your tranny will not bolt up.
the CA is a good budget engine. I would recommend the SR over it, but if you aren't looking for astronomical horsepower numbers and don't mind revving to get power, then its a good engine.
