Thanks to Tonioseven for the Inspiration for this.
Not quite sure what else will happen to the body work, ideas will flow as I go along. But the Audi Metallic Mint Green Paint should be very different.
I'll have 19" rims of some kind.

Thanks

There weren't any pictures but I just know Steve has a nice collection of 19" wheels and he can work wonders with any color so i just threw it out there as an idea

You got it right :evillol: you could also be right about the rims, we'll see.

The front of the car will have some effects but not sure what yet also the bonnet/hood will have some work done.

Just cut some vents into the hood and whack on a big single turbo setup, and we'll be happy :iceslolan Can't wait to see some work done on this model, the widebody effects are very cool, a nice subtle touch.

Steve, IMHO, you've just crossed the line between import and rice, and your on the rice side. Maybe if you lowered the scoop a little, like parallel it with the hood, that'd be sweet, but that's jsut my 2 pennies.

It's only a fun kit build up. Hell it's going to be mint green, so it's not intended to be a Jap street car :)

I like the idea, it's just a little large, but hey it's your car, if you like it, do it. Hey, A litebulb just came on, keep the scoop as it is, mask and matt black the hood and them mask and mint green the scoop like yashio S15 CF hood with pink scoop. That I'd like.

Opinions on the bonnet mods ?

It has a pretty aggressive look to it. If it has something to back that look up underneath the bonnet you'll hear no complaints from me. Even if it doesnt have something to back it up it still looks pretty cool .
Keep up the good work.

No, Does not look good, ( to me) The supra has very organic flowing lines, and the scoop has... a blocky style, definatly a :nono: (to me)
Maybe if you lowered the scoop down a bit, and made it flow more with the car or added sumthing like this http://www.ridejudge.com/featured/June01/frontDriver.jpg
or just the two openings without the cowl down the center,
Just my :2cents: , but I like the way you did the body, very cool, hope to see more of this project soon

Wow...it almost looks like it could have some fat drag slicks tucked under the rear and some skinny fronts, pro-street style! I like the technique for widening the rear arches..very nice :smokin:

The scoop looks to tall to me now but I guarantee when it's done it'll look spot on :iceslolan

Steve, is it just normal automotive mettalic base coat they mix for you? I didn't realise you could get such a small amount mixed. What do you ask for... is it a special thing they do for paint touch-up on cars?

Usually I try not to weigh in on style (unless I really like it) because to each his own, and it's not my place, but since you asked for comments....

I think it's too big; too wide and too high, and too square. Like SonyMobile said, the Supra is very organic and it looks sort of out of place. More than that, the Supra is pretty much defined by how it orders its negative space. While the car is generally round, there are a few places that tuck back in a little bit, and this is what makes the car so dramatic. For example, the contour (looked at in profile) of the front bumper and air dam is concave, the intakes on the sides fold back and recede into the quarter panels, and the upturned rear and spoiler makes a nice little indentation right before the trailing edge like the small of a pretty girl's back. These are all negative spaces. That's why the holes in the hood of the Supra in that movie and in the hood FOTW sells work and look good, because they do not extend beyond the curvature of the car, but recede into it. You could make a scoop extend out into positive space like that but you have to be careful, it would have to not overpower the shapes on the car, but instead accentuate them, like if you slightly hightened the curvature of the hood and added a scoop like that. Another option would be to set a scoop into the hoop, like the single turbo drag set up are known to do, or even like how a JGTC Supra does. While I know that's not terribly original, it would work with the Supras shape a lot better in my opinion.

Anyway, that's supposed to be constructive, I sure hope it comes off as such.

very well worded...

It's a nice mod, but it needs to be less bulky, So i recommend cutting down the height to about 2/3's and then slicing the front of the scoop back on the same angle as the hood, and making it a little less abrupt by making it's sides on more of an angle towards the hood. just my 2 cents but it still is your car.

im loving the body mods and think the scoop is cool, but how about making the scoop a little bit more like the nissan pulsar gti r? basicaly scoop it back a little (making it less claw like) and adding a couple of little slats into the vent.
just a suggestion as it may go well with the lines of the body. other than that tho i think it looks excelently made, very smooth,

and in the end build it for you coz none of us are goona be having it in our house. Build for yourself

To Hiro: I am very sorry to ruin your thread like this, I assure it will not happen again.

Got any Progress on this yet?? what are your rim choices for this anyways? I thought maybe you would like to take a look at this, It seems to be the same color as you have chosen, I was lookin through my magazine collection to take to the... "reading room" for my morning bussiness, and i came across the issue that this is in and thought you might like to see it.
