Wheel speed sensor

I have a faulty wheel speed sensor on my 2000 sunfire in the passenger front wheel. this is the second time that it has not worked, the first it was covered under warrenty but it has ran out on me now and it would cost $130 to buy one plus labor. does anyone know why it keeps on breaking on me? and it is easy just to replace it myself?
