Anybody care to share hints on the best reference sources for detailing auto models?
ie. websites, magazines, videos etc.
Regards
Mark

...Just to get the ball rolling, the following are just some of the resources I use regularly:
Publications:
RallyXS magazine (Bi-Monthly, Concentrates mainly on WRC, Excellent Photography).
---
RallyXS did a 3-page pullout poster in the April/May 2001 issue of an exploded Peugeot 206 WRC. The car was stripped completely, and layed out like a Tamiya kit that had been cut from the sprues and painted, ready to be assembled.
This was truely awesome - I can find no better reference for a 206...
---
Autosport Magazine (Weekly, Motorsport in general, Mainly action shots).
Japanese Performance (Monthly, Jap Sport/Custom/Mod, excellent detailed pictorials).
EVO (Monthly, Performance road-car reviews, Excellent Photography)
Various Videos/DVDs released by DUKE (purchased from Halfords):
FIA World Rally Championship Official Review 2000.
2001 due Jan/Feb 2002 - I Can't wait...
World's Greatest Rally Cars.
Wow! The Pike's Peak in-car cameras are frightening. Some really good historical video/commentary.
Rally World 2000.
Workshop footage, and inside stories from the Team Managers to the Mechanics.
Mobil 1 British Rally Championship 2000.
Up and coming drivers, sub WRC cars (but still as exciting, and more humourous - again, I can't wait for the 2001 release).
Anyone care to suggest more?
Regards
Mark

Honestly, 99% of my reference pics come from searching on www.google.com and using the image search. :D
I also have a hefty pile of general tuner rags to dig through from time to time.
Scale Auto (www.scaleautomag.com) Magazine has great tips and tech, but they focus on a lot of older muscle car/American cars, while I'm mostly interested in Japanese and other contemporary sports cars.

I bought a French magazione at LeMans that details every rally car from each year! A superb journal, and one that can be purchased through www.grandprixmodels.com
It's called 'Auto Modelisme'
I'll have to get that RALLY XS, sounds handy!

MODEL CARS MAGAZINE (www.modelcarsmag.com) is a new
comer sort of,it used to be Plastic Fanatic, and they're closing in on Scale Auto for dominance of the modelers favorite magazine.
They have more pictures, less ads and some diversity in subject matter.

Auto Modelisme just published a WRC special for the 2001 season that features all the cars. I've heard it's a must get and I'm trying to get someone to buy it off the French street.
