I have a 93 Eagle Talon DL 1.8 SOHC. I was wondering if somone could answer a few Questions that I have. the first thing is , does anyone know why at 4k rpm or above my dash has a weird buzzing/rattling sound? Does anyone a hood for this car cuz someone jumped on the hump on the hood and i need a new one(red)? What are some cheaper mods for this engine, if any? My car idles funny, at anytime at stops usually my engine revs between1k and1.5k rpm anyone else have this? lasty sometimes when the clutch is pressed to the floor 1st will still grind unless put in super slowly(usually happens when engine is reving funny), and when "power shifting" into 2nd the gears grind also, unless i hold the clutch in a few seconds the put it in gear. can someone help me out please? One more thing what rims look good on this gen?

I have a 90 eclipse with the same engine the reason that it is making a noise its because when the engine gets at a high rpm it rattles its only because its at a high rpm one thing that u could do is check the engine mounts they might be loose and one other thing it could be is check to see if all of the screws are in and some of the pieces in the car the arm with the turn signal on it and the windshield arm to the rattle when loose. I have a hood for the car but it is white, there are not a lot of mods but i have a intake for it i havent put it on yet because my crankshaft pulley snapted so i havent put it on. One reason it could be idleing like that is the timing could be off and it will idle funny just check that it could be it because i had to have my timing done because mine was doing that and they did the timeing and it was fixed after that. One reason that could be that ur clutch is grinding is that ur out of hydraulic fluid or something is wrong with ur master clutch cylinder ur cylinder could be out of fluid so it has no pressure to let u shift into gear i would really check ur hydraulic fluid i think that is it and it could be ur master cylinder. Rims do look good on the car.

ah, you have the idel problem too. FUN FUN!! I have it on my 94 Talon, and I think I may have gotten it fixed. I have a thread started on here called "Uneven Ideling and Engine Stalls" Go check it out, hopefully it will help. It did for me. I think. :-)

Thank you for all the helpfuk info, it came in handy. The hood that you have is it for the flip up headlights or non-flip up headlights? cuz my car doesn't have flip up headlights. and would u maybe be willing to sell it? and for how much?
thanks again
