DSM comes from the merge between Mitsubishi and Chrysler while making the Eclipse/Talon/Laser cars.
Diamond=Mitsubishi
Star=Chrysler
Motors=:cwm27:

Technically, any car made after 1993 is not a Diamond Star Motor. The company DSM, ceased to exist after 93. Mitsubishi took over the plants and continued to make the DSMs. Since the 2g has almost the same internals, engine, etc as the 1g (until 94) they still call them DSMs. Chrysler sebrings are made in the same factory's as DSMs but since they have totally different engine, tranny, etc, they are not considered DSMs.
