Wadata - Need help picking out a new set of 16's

Skip down if necessary:
I bent a rim. It's a heavy, white 16 by 7 inch Tecnomagnesio Sport. They say it can't be fixed. No one sells them in the US anymore. I can't speak Italian. I translate my plea into Italian on Babelfish. The Italians at MimWheels.com put me in touch with their US contact (who I've already spoken with) who doesn't sell the wheel anymore. The Italians aren't getting back to me. Yadda freakin yadda.
:banghead:
Anyway, it's been a while since I've posted here (like a year) so I'd like to give a big shout out to...everyone. I'm not saying I'm some never-ending fountain of knowledge, but flipping through some recent posts makes me feel like the blind are leading the blind. It was probably like that back in the good ol' days when I scoured PH, but I was too caught up in the modifying craze to notice.
ANYWAY...I need to get four new rims. My tires have quite a bit of life left so switching from 16's is not an option. I saw someone driving a very well done (classy...not overdone) red Civic with silver rims with a gold cap. Enkei the only brand with a gold cap? The spokes looked to be plentiful and set back from the cap. I loved the way this looked when moving. Unfortunately for me, this guy was moving too fast and took a right turn. I should have followed him.
I know it's a real shot in the dark, but any idea which rim this could be and if they come in 16 inch? They might have been 17s. Who knows.
The rims I've been considering are:
Enkei RS5 - Kinda lightweight, skinny 5 spoke that would show off my not-so-red brake calipers. Gold cap but the spokes aren't set back.
Konig Theory - Many spokes that look to be set back. No gold cap. Anyone know the weight?
Rota ___ - Real lightweight. A couple models look ok. I'm not THAT concerned with weight. I'd rather they look good and not be super heavy. How are Rota's quality?
So, considering everything (price, quality, looks), which I clearly like to do, which wheel would you choose? Any other wheels to suggest?

don't know much about those other ones, but i do like the rotas myself (almost all of them infact, circuit8, slipstream, subzero) :smokin:
as far as quality goes, i've had a couple friends with them and they've had no problems. Nice, sturdy rims, and as you stated, lightweight.

Timmy - Is j/w = just why? I'm not down with your lingo.
I liked the effect of having a solid color focal point with set back, numerous spokes spinning.
Why do you like expensive body kits that scrape on everything?
Mint (my lingo...it means niiiice in a sarcastic way) masturbation quote. Top notch stuff. :uhoh: Here is another quote that you may have heard of, being the collector of masturbation quotes you are: "Procrastination is like masturbation, you're only screwing yourself."
90EX - RS5's look nice on your car. Question: When you look at them from the front of the car, do they bow out at all?
Question for everyone: Does this set back spoke look I'm trying to describe typically affect the offset of the wheel? What is the ideal offset for my vehicle anyway?

OK. Those are out.
Anyone have any 16 inch rims with lots of set back spokes to recommend?
Any more info on Rotas? Best place to buy them? What color on a black civic? What syle do you like? (Don't give me the "Dude, go with your heart" answer either...I will verbally slay thee)

http://www.jaydm.com/wheels.htm <- you can buy them from there, i'm sure theres a better deal elsewhere though.
On a black civic, i'd go with gunmetal or bronze. and if you're hardcore, flat black.
As for style, I like the Subzero's the most, the circuit 8's are nice too. and again if you're hardcore, slipstreams.

I checked on ebay and someone is selling all the 16 inch rotas in all of the finishes. Thanks for the info Signal.
Can anyone give me the weights for the three 16 inch rotas?
Can anyone speak to their quality?
Does wheel weight truly make a difference? I'm sorry, I know I'm opening a can of worms with that last one.

wheelweights.net has an archive of wheel weights.
and yes, wheel weight does make a difference
for every 1 pound you decrease in wheel weight, you decrease 8 pounds of static weight to your vehicle.

also rotational mass is one of the hardest thing for the brakes to stop

Alright. Rotas may not be the best looking wheels out there but they're inexpensive, pretty nice looking, and light.
What are the weights for the 16 inch slipstream and subzero? I'm getting a variety of answers from the sources I've checked.
What finishes look best on a black car (black it out for me)? What do people think of white (that's what I have now)?
Anyone have any pictures of subzeros and slipstreams on cars?

Wow. That prelude is very nice. I think a lot of wheels would look damn good on THAT car. I'm leaning towards the Slipstreams but I get the feeling that most people who get Rotas go for the Slipstreams. Like most everyone here, I'd rather not do the same thing as everyone else if I can help it, but I'm not sure if Subzeros would work on my car.
Check out my car (click the link in my signiture) and let me know what you think.

for your car i'd get the bronze slipstreams, look into the rota circuit 8's too, they look particularly good on civics and integras.

Signal - Yeah, I'm not liking the 8-10 spoke look on my car idea. I wish I had a picture of gun metal and bronze slipstream and sub zeros on black lowered 2000 civics. :sly:

Good. Because they looked a little blang blang (my terminology for inexpensive, loud bling bling).
OK. Now I need a black car with gun metal slipstreams.

After reviewing this link...
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=43956&item=2443606958
...and comparing it to this guy's hatch...

...and this guy's hatch...
http://www.squadone.net/pictures/jdmeet/Picture%20146.jpg
...I think I can safely say that the first hatch has some sort of dull Bronze (which looks good IMO) finish that is not Sports Bronze, and the second hatch has a Bronze finish (which looks scary IMO).
