I wanted to install some a pillar gagues but never have done it before. When you buy the gagues do they tell how to install I cant imagime they do since every vech is different but I was going to install Oil Pressure, Volts, Fuel pressure or Trans temp....I want to buy the A Pillar gague bezel with the 3 holes but I would imagine I would buy the electrical gagues but from there how hard is the actual wiring well I really dont care about running the wiring but rather on how to hook them up... One more thing is anyone know of gagues that have red lights in them so they are able to be seen at night...I looked on www.pfyc.com but did not find any that light up. Thank ahead of time...

Steve

Oh yeah the swap will be about april or may of next year I will start teardown and building of the new motor within next couple weeks...

Oil Pres. - Fuel Pres. / make sure you get electrical if you want them inside car. BTW, Electrical Fuel Pres. Guage and sending unit are $180, from PFYC.

Install is/was very easy on all the guages I have or have seen done. There are good instructions floating around the net somewhere, I used to have a link but have deleted it. Try www.clubgp.com for instructions or a link to intructions.

All of the guages at PFYC light up. As far as I know they use the 194 series bulbs. Wiring instructions also include how to hook them up to the dimmer so that they dim with the rest of the interior lights.

What motor are you rebuilding and droping in?? L67 or L36

boost guage you tap into you vacumm line with a "Y" fitting. Got to napa they have fittings for vacumm lines (thats the way i did it)I know you dont have a supercharger yet so, just trying to help out. and the trans temp theres a spot on the top of your trans right under your intake there should be a bolt (10 mm or a 3/8 dont rememeber size) there. take it out and put your sensor/sender unit in there. its the same size thread.. so that is 2 little holes you have to drill through your firewall have fun.

No drilling is required to wire those guages. There is a gromet on the driver side and the also a larger one on the passanger side. I used a coat hanger to feed the wires through the gromets in the firewall

ohh yeah i would go with tran temp guage too! It saved me a tranny when i was going through death valley and into the mountains. It was pushing temp 235 degrees at the top of the mountain thats HOT. but I knew the thing got too hot and the trans fluid was mostlikely burnt so when i got back from my trip (Back to Arizona) I changed the fluid and Put a tranny cooler on it too! temp dropped about 15-20 degrees. she still works good.. with 145,000 miles on it. Also the car isnt stock ... so theres going to be a little more wear- on those clutch plates and stuff. Yeah personal opinion- get a tranny guage... It helped me know whats going on!
to much heat is bad watch it..

you can put a boost gauge on a non superchargered car but it wont show boost only vacumm. My brother did it to his 97 GT
