Opinions on these wheels

I'm seriously thinking of getting these wheels (18"). What does everyone think. Would they look good on a white car?

Any other suggestions on wheels would be helpful too. :)

I've always thought dark wheels on whit cars looked pretty hot, especially on a skyline.

I’m going to say they’ll look ok but not all that great. I’m a big fan of chrome rims on white cars. I know the chrome is a bit heavier, but it looks real sweet.
Some folks do like the dark rims, but I think they just look out of place. But, to each their own.

Speccie...
Some observations...
18 inch rubber hoops are hopelessly overpriced in kiwiland - and given the spec of your vehicle I'd be looking at premium hoops. I've seen a number of tests (and had tested a few different tyres myself) and skimping by buying a no-name brand is defeating the purpose of purchasing an ultra high performance tyre. I'm running a combination of S03s and SportContact 3's and when the SportContact's are due for replacement I'm looking at over a grand for two 205/50/W17 S03s...
The other thing about 18 inch wheels is the addition of unsprung weight compared to say a 17 inch with a higher profile - and also ride quality. I'm getting older and while I don't expect to be running around on a cushy cadillac platform I don't expect my fillings to be rattled driving down the main street...

No matter if you get these in 17" or 18", they'll look great on that Skyline...

Well the standard wheels are 17” so I definitely want to go bigger. A friend has just got 18” wheels and the ride quality seems fine.
I will be going for 18x8 on the front and 18x9 on the rear. Probably with 235 tyres on the front and 265 on the rear.

And replicant I totally agree that wheels in NZ are very overpriced. I’ve been offered these at a really good price and considering that they’re Japanese wheels it’s very tempting.

What kind of wheels are those? I dont like dark wheels expecially on a light car. It looks dirty to me.
White wheels are my favorite, white volks to be exact.

*Wonders if existing rims would fit an R32 GXi*They do fit R32s and look awesome, I’m not totall sure but I think the non-turbo ones need to have spacers to make them fit though (which I think might be illegal).

 The photoshop helped me make up my mind. I DON'T like completely black rims on white cars because there's no definition to see the pattern/shape of the rim etc. That said, those look absolutely sensational on your car.

My preferred Rim size is 17 Inch (Like I got now)- my car- like the Skyline Coupe is a Family/Luxury car that gets the occasional thrashing around most tracks. I"ve always found 17's to be the optimal diameter for racing, with a 1" drop or less/greater- depending on how high the car was originally. OF course since you probably don't race ( :uhoh: )- then I'd say go for the 18's :)

they are 16x8" TE-37s. I got a good deal on them so I bought them. Retail on them is $2,000. My 240sx did NOT have drum breaks just extremely small discs. Thats one of the reasons I got rid of the car, it was poorly enginered compaired to my Subaru and Mazdas.

God- the US 240SX is powered by the KA24DE- which is used to power trucks- not like the 147Kw Aus spec or 184 Kw NZ/Jap Spec SR20DET by any means- oh wait we're talking about eh S14- same deal- More torque for the 240, but more weight and not as much power.............I suppose you could say the Yanks got shafted :)
