head bolts?

do the head bolts need to be replaced when you remove the head? Some one is selling head bolt kits on ebay but the Chiltons manual says nothing about the bolts stretching and needing replacement.

Metro headbolts are re-usable. What you'll want to do is lie a straightedge across the threads. If all the threads touch the edge, it's good, if even 1 thread doesn't, replace it.

I rebuilt my 3cyl. about 4 yrs ago. Seems like the kits came with or without the bolts. I re-used mine without any inspection and haven't had a lick of trouble yet.
