Nintendo dissapoints again

Once again, Nintendo dropped the ball. You'd figure with the bomb of N64 nintendo would realize there's a whole other market with adults... Instead, the first game for game cube is a Luigi game. The world has had enough with mario and luigi. Why don't they get a clue!

Yea so? Ya gotta have a mario or luigi game at release. they are their icons. Plus heres some games comin for cube (BTW, i love xbox, I want cube and xobox. My ps2 sucks)


Likely M-Rated games (off the top of my head): Perfect Dark 0, Turok Evolution, Dinasaur planet, Blood Rayne, Resident Evil, Eternal Darkness, Too Human, Metroid Prime, RE: Code Veronica, Nemesis, Resident Evil 2, Resident Evil 4, Mortal Kombat 5 and Duke Nukem Forever. There are bound to be others still, of course, but already this isn't a bad selection of adult targeted software.

Re(even tho its played out) is only for cube from now on.... Nintendo wants a mature audience. But they still want to sell ther stupid lil kiddy games. Too bad counter strike or half life aint coming on cube:(

I see Nintendo, I think mario and kids games. I woudnt buy a Game Cube for myself. Sure there may be some mature games, but I think it was more designed for kids.

The fact Nintendo never went to a CD platform turned me off to their games. I'm sticking with play station and my venture to the X-box.

The guy that is the president of the Nintendo company (forget his name) said at that E3 video games show that the GameCube is aimed more towards a younger kid market, and they're not concentrating on competing using better graphics than it's competitor (because they're not as good as xbox) so they're just concentrating on makin the games fun (mostly for kids) not graphics
while the xbox is aimed at an older mostly 16+ market, it's meant for more hardcore gamers than just little kids who wanna have fun in a game

Hey, look at the competition though, PS2, X Box. What can they do that Game cube can't? Thats right, play DVD's. Nintendo really has to think before it leaps. Yeah, It did revolutionize the video game industry with original Nintendo, but ever since then, it's been all downhill.

i still have the original nintendo somewhere, that thing was sweet ass!
how much did it cost when it came out?? like $300 right? or more? or less? i don't remember

it came out in 1985. I think it was $100-$150, but that's way expensive for 1985

X-Box is made for the hard core people, like PS2. People tweak those consoles (mod chips and stuff). I've never really saw anything about N64's or Gamecubes being modded and stuff. Some guys here at school have modded PS2's that run burned CD's and DVD's. Some guys here even make emulators and stuff because they are that good with this stuff. :)

Man, I guess I'm weird. I happen to like Nintendo and I do plan to buy the Gamecube, I also plan to buy a PS2 and X-Box as well. As log as there are at least three good games on the system I will buy it.

I had the first Nintendo with only a couple of games. Now earlier this year I picked up a PS1 because I was bored. I only have two games so not much of a gamer, GT and GT2. Bad example I guess but from the reviews PS2 and others such as that are just over priced!

I play my N64 too! Even though I now have a X-Box (unopened till X-mas), a Dreamcast, N64 and I forgot to mention in a earlier post a Saturn, I still play them all because when I got each one I got them because I enjoyed them, not because they had the best or most popular games, graphics or company reputations but because they were fun then and still are till this day ;)

Life is too short to argue which system is best. They all have their pros and cons. The biggest argument I hear personally is how XBox and PS2 can play dvd's and what not. Most people who can afford these systems or keep up with the home theater/entertainment trends most likely already have a DVD player anyways. All 3 systems have been hyped up before release, and of course there will be those that will be totally sold on the product and then you will have those that think the system is a big disappointment. I have heard good and bad on all 3. It all boils down to personal preferences.

i like those little mini-discs the gamecube uses, those look cool :D

i would rate Xbox number 1... gamecube and PS2 are tied IMO, right close behind the xbox

Really? I would put PS2 and X-Box tied for first, and in a distant second, Game cube.

I have PS2, and want the other 2. I just hate the fact how people say nintendo is gay, and is only for kids. I know of about 15 games thatare already planned to go on gamecube that are Mature games.

I like all three, but the PS2, was a dissapointment
