Well, This is the Tamiya Jeep Grand Cherokee kit. Out of the box the kit is packed with detail to build a stuning model. But I "HAD" to put my special touch to it, First i added 5 15's in the back with styrene as a base,Made by Hoppin' Hydros. Then i added the MONSTER 20's from Hoppin' Hydros , Which in 1:24 scale they are about 24' 26' inch Diameter.. The paint is Boyd's Chezzoom Teal Pearl with 3 coats of Dupli-Color clear caot and then waxed. I still have alot to do with this kit, Engine, Exterior, Interior, Suspension and Fix the back lift gate because I got my finger prints on it, Ill sand it down and shoot another coat of paint and clear on it sometime, I flocked the sub box and carpet with a mix od Detail Master Grey and Black flocking. This model come with full working suspension also, which I thought was pretty cool. Progress Might be fast, Might be slow, So If you have any questions or Comments please feel free to ask :-)

Thank's. Josh

Progress looks good too me! Anything special happening with the engine?Nope, Not much you can do with a jeep engine http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/images/smilies/lol2.gif, Here are some pics of the amps that i scratchbuilt and probably were they will be placed, Or i might make a amp rack to put them on, Not to worried about that yet..

http://www.elitrix.net/temp/everythingauto/album_pic.php?pic_id=84
They still need sanded and filled in on the sides, and the terminals built for the wireing.

And here is were they are right now..

Right now im waiting for tomarrow so i can spray the front and back bumper black, Then i will start scratchbuilding a TV in the headliner console. And probably a TV in the dash also..

Any ideas you have please tell me!!

Hm, although I don't particulary care for this type of modifications, I do like the model, and what you're trying to achieve, but take your time, and try to put on or scratchbuild some bigger brakes, otherwise it will look very awkward.

And also, are those rubber bands around the rims supposed to be tyres?
Maybe you could use some other tyres, and just stretch them to the desired length, I m pretty sure the result will be 10 times better, then this brakeless , running on rubber bands, underpowered car.

But hey, on the otherhand, it's only a model right?

OlivierYeah i know the tyres might look really thin, but its gonna be really hard to get a tyre that will fit that, heres a comparasion, left one is a regular 20" from hoppin hydros on the right is the monster 20' so as you can see theres a huge difference...

Not quite. Anyways i sat the body down and didnt relize the super glue tube was hiting the side trim so i am going to sand it down and re paint it, i also took all the subs out and sanded down the flocking, im in need of a pair of the instructions, just scans so if anyone can help, that'd be great.

Well when i went to mask off the body to paint the side trim after i sanded it , it looked like crap so then I went to shave the trim off with bondo and it got on the green so no im stripping it, oh well it will give me more time to do the interior and suspension, Any idea on what color i should do this time?

This is good, that means you could fill in the back doorlines and make it a custom 2 door jeep with a bgi ass sub box behind the front seats! I would do it if it was my model because it would make more sense to look at that way, and it would be something new.
I will get around to Big Balling a Jeep Cherokee model one day, maybe with some working engiens in it so I can dance it though... I dunno.

Anyway man it is lookin tight in that colour I suggest using jsut a leather colour for the interior, like white or a tan, not black and not body colour coded, traditional lowriders are usually the ones to get colour coded interiors.
Your pimping this Jeep out, pimped SUVs have noram leather interiors 98% of the time, but do whatever you see fit.
I'll stop typing..............now.
