Auto level suspension

Has anyone attempted to adjust the height of the rear end by changing the position of the check rod or servo? Of course the dealer says it's not adjustable and not to mess with it. Mine sits almost 2" too high.

I've raised a few Cadillacs in the rear with the leveler switch. I don't know if the Auroras are the same.

Indy I went out and looked at my leveling box. On the ones I've messed with under the bolt that goes through the arm it was slotted. Mine isn't , I guess you could slot it if it isn't and then move it.

Thanks, I'll take another look under there. I won't attempt anything until I install new shocks, they might sit differently. Maybe the system is trying to compensate for worn shocks, but height setting should not change if it's based on the horizontal position of the swingarm. I've never seen another Aurora on the road that sits as high as mine.

Didn't you know? The previous owner of your car had a really big belt buckle and a spare lift kit from his F-350 duallie, and the rest is history...

I replaced the rod on mine about a year ago with a threaded rod and nut combo and lowered the rear a little over an inch.

i've seen auroras sit real high, looks kinda stupid, maybe if you put some bigger wheels on the back it would look better, some slicks LOL make like you have something, "yeah dude those tires give me like 50 more Horsepower"

my compressor is coming on too often ....I have a leak in one of my shocks.
I hear i can pull the fuse under the back seat till I get new shocks.
Will this have an adverse affect on anything?
How hard is it to pull that seat?

Seat bottom pops up easily at the front edge of the two outer seating positions. Should be okay to pull the fuse.

I replaced my shocks a while back. I got Monroe max air from advance auto parts for around 50 bucks/pair..... they are real easy to replace .

I know this is an old thread but i have an issue with my auto leveling. I live on a steep hill at college and the car is always facing down. When i park the car it sounds like the air is getting pumped, but this makes no sense since im facing down hill. Also the sound seems quiter than the normal pump that runs for like 10 sec at a time or so. If it is sitting to high does the pump run to let some air out?? or is that just it pumping up for some reason. Oh and if anyone could tell me what number fuse it is under the seat that would help incase I ever need that.
