97' Jimmy 4DR speaker size

Hello,

Can someone please tell me the size of the speakers in the front and rear doors of a 1997 Jimmy? I know there is a black bracket there that the speaker is mounted on. Does that bracket have to come out or do the speakers mount directly to them? I just put a new Aiwa stereo in the truck and now want to upgrade the speakers plus when I got the truck the front right speaker was not working. I don't want stock replacements.

they are 7"'s AKA 6 3/4"s you can get adapters to put 6 1/2"'s , or 5 1/4"'s in there at www.mjmautoinnovations.com/speakeradapters
