'93 bonneville anti device

I picked up a '93 bonneville on the weekend from a collision place and they did not have the keys for the car. So we had to remove the ignition from the car to get it home now the vehiicle will not start. If we jump the starter it starts for about 2 seconds and then dies. It is firing and getting gas but everything seems to die as soon as it starts.

I am curious to know if anybody knows about the anti thief device on the bonneville. How do we bypass the deivce to get the car to run. Where might the device be or is it part of the ECM programming?
