run it off a cliff and it will do 0-60 in two seconds, than when it explodes get to the insurance office, than off to the store to buy a buynsell than buy urself a car worth tuning.

I think those have the very awsome and bullet proof 2T-C engine. If you have the money throw a turbo kit or some weber side draft carbs on it That would be your best bet, the block, rods and crank are notoriously over built A built head and some pistons would definitly alter your friends opinion about your car (can you say 12 sec 1/4 mile?). If you noticed the cilender head looks very similar to the dodge/plymoth HEMI motor that is because the motor has Hemisperal combustion chambers just like the hemi only smaller. It is even a push rod motor just like the huge V8 motor by dodge. The motor is used for nearly every Philipine, puetorican toyota drag racer. I have seen the motors with a cam, forged pistons and a 100 shot of nitrous running 10's easy. The only week link is the trans most people put the W58 celica trans for serious drag use. For auto cross most people use the T-50 trans from the early and mid eighties RWD corolla. Try the web site www.toysport.com and www.club4ag.com

by the way I own a 1972 TE21 corolla with the 2TC but is currently sitting due to my lack of cash and too many projects going on at once.
