95 CAV. Z24 Wont Stay on after turning it on! HELP AHHH..

MY 95 cavalier z24 just got broke into took the cd player. got a used dashboard, and cd player my girl was helping me and took the gauge cluster Out!!!! ANd thats When hell starts..... the little plug tore off the chip! on the gauger cluser. so i mold it back on seeing if it would work pluged it in and turn it on. theft system was on. didn't notice it i tried to start it turned over for a a second then stalled out on me.Went to the junkyard and then put a regular cavalier clust into it. so i thought no big deal! untill i turned the key it did the same damn thing. the engine turns over for a sec, just replaced the fuel pump month ago. i can hear it turn on. after i took out the battery and so it would reset the computer could this be the theft system or passlock system where it locks the cyclinders. Help! please anything?

got it fixed! the ecu didn't respond to the new gauge cluster. so the had to to put a code in........thats all

Any chance u could let me know where u got the code???? Just installed aftermarket alarm, and unplugged the cluster in the process, guess what - Theft System......
