Port and Polish?

I dont know, maybe i posted something bout this a while back and just never checked on replies, but either way ima post this again.

My question is what does it mean to "port and polish" your engine?

is it just making it stronger? more durable? hell ima research this so if u dont wanna reply then don't, but if someone whos done it feels so gracious to lay the knowledge on me then id be pretty appreciative! :iceslolan

Port and polish is when you make the air ports in the head bigger for more flow. Like adding a bigger intake pipe:more airflow. Do NOT do it at home.

If you want your head (the CAR'S head) ported and polished, you can send it to Joe Alaniz. Do a google search for his last name and you'll find his site. He's the best head porter I know, and he's a great guy. You have to send your head to Cali tough.
