Bad News!

As some of you guys probably know my crx's headgasket was blown when i bought the car. so after going through all the trouble of calling tons of junk yards frantically looking for a stock 1.6 crx si motor. finally i did and it was the last place you think to look in the little podunk town right next door. i bought it for 500 with tax. i didnt think i did too bad but then i get lookin it over about a week later and the stupid head is cracked. the place does have a 30 day warranty and luckily i looked the engine over before i put it in. i am returning the engine soon and getten my 500 dinero back. then all i need to do is save up 100 more dollars to go with a d16z6 vtec. there is this place in a town about and hour away from me that can have it shipped from cali to there for 600 including the cost of the engine. doesnt seem bad but it just kinda pisses me off. i guess the stock swap just wasnt meant to be. IM GOIN VTEC NOW! in the longrun i think it will be for the better :iceslolan

Vtec is better than the stock a6 motor.

why don't you save a couple hundred bucks and just replace the headgasket on the original engine?
