3 inch exhaust

I'm building my own exhaust system for a '92 turbo. I bought all mandrel bends 3 inch high flow muffler and flex pipe. The 02 sensor housing is still stock but w/ serious porting and the exhaust will have to go from 2 1/4 to 3 inches. Is it worth while on a mildly modified eclipse to get a 3 inch o2 sensor housing? What kind of horsepower difference am I looking at?

Also- I have a turboxs boost controller. Stock fuel and no air/fuel mix guage. Would I be a dumbass to push more than 15psi? Can I get away with 550's and 18+ psi? I don't want to rebuild my engine twice! Thanks

you can push 15psi no problem with proper fule managment.. you will also need that 3" exhaust and the intake.. but 15psi will be ok..

SInce the turbine wheel discharge is less than 2.5" on anything less than a TDO6 turbo, it wont hurt. Its only for a few inches anyway. Not worth upgrading until you get a huge turbo with a huge turbine side.

15 psi is stock for a 2g remember. Thats piddly for boost. I ran stock injectors up to 20 psi on pump gas and 25 psi on race gas, well into the 12s. The pump needs to be upgraded though. 18 psi will still ne fine, knock for other reasons will be more of a danger than running out of injector. ;) But as always, verify this for yourself with a datalogger, dont take my word for it :) It certainly wont hurt ot upgrade injectors and get the fuel controller to go along with it. Then of course you have to have a datalogger, which is a good thing anyway.
