5th gen axles

can i use axles from a fourth gen JDM motor in my 5th gen? (putting in a 4th gen JDM motor because I hydrolocked my 5th gen and a 5th gen one was too expensive.) I have an SH and i am trying to eliminate the traction control... in fact... i think all i really need is that center shaft extension thing that goes where the traction control usually is..... what do you all think?
