Yes, mine is connected to the "tach" output on my MSD SCI ignition box, which makes it even simple.

What light is that, and how is it controlled? Does it use the pills, or does it have a dial? I need one with a dial.
Btw, looks nice! That's about the shiniest wax job I've ever seen! If I were to put that effort into mine, it would just rain!

That's an Auto Meter Pro-shift-Lite fed by pills - VERY bright without the cover. Summit Racing has a Proform dial controlled shift light for $50 or so. These are kinda cool(not sure how bright) : http://www.race-sport.net/revlite.html
It did rain the next day(as you can see in some of the pics) and it's gonna be shitty today. Oh well, that shine(no "wax" - aircraft sealer) should last for a while with normal washing. Now the engine bay & interior need to be done.
Thanks for all the compliments

Thats an old nitrous bottle(35lbs) my used back in the 70's when he raced. NOS wasn't around in those days . . .

I just had the bottle filled for 1 last time before it snows & yes its used but not abused. I was jsut saying blah about NOS - my grandfather was a mechanic back in WWII working with Nitrous on aircraft, he tought my dad, and so on - nevermind - useless information . . . :licka:

I bought the car from a customer while I worked for Honda. The car came in with some suspension damage & bad engine, I payed $250 for the car completely stock & all maint. from day one at the dealer. The customer hit something in the road & tore a big ass hole in the oil pan, he was planning on getting a new car anyway. We swapped in the ZC(rebuilt) and then I was to sell the car but, that didn't happen. I pissed away a shit load of $$$ into her.:naughty:

Stock front sway with poly bushings & upgraded end links
Wheels - bunch of 14" steelies w/ crap Goodyear GT II or sticky Falken Azenis
Upgraded bushings: upper strut mounts, motor mounts, shifter bushings, more bushings to come(maybe)

About that trans rebuild...would the input shaft bearing make noise with the car in neutral and the clutch out? Also how much did it cost?
Thanks.
Thanks.

Yes, when the bearing was/is bad there was a noise in neutral with clutch & also while driving. I did not rebuild the trans(waste of time/money), I got a rebuilt trans(Si) for about $300 including warranty & installed myself.

i think my car does this, if i let off the clutch you hear a noise... i thought that was the throw out bearing? how much is it to get that fixed, and does it cause any more problems down the road? is it in the tranny?
Thanks.

Its hard to say what the noise is without hearing it. Usually when an input shaft bearing is bad you will hearing almost a groaning noise in neutral with the clutch out or while driving you will hear the same but louder. Depending how many miles are on the trans, your better off installing a rebuilt trans instead of trying to fix your current trans. With my trans besides the input shaft bearing, there was 125K miles, & grinding during gear changes. Gears/synchros are pretty damn expensive . . . We had an Integra Type-R with bad input shaft bearing, customer drove the car for a long time & ended up tearing up the whole, causing all types of damage. Either way if its the throw-out, input shaft, or other internal bearing your best off fixing ASAP so you don't do further damage.

so if im replaceing the tranny soon when i do my swap that should fix it?
what else can it fuck up besides the tranny?

Yea if your replacing the trans but, that trans could have problems also. Manual trans is very interesting the 1st time you take one apart : http://www.binghamtonlife.com/manual/2gsm/images/91-13-8.jpg
Worst case: the bearing could tear apart inside trans, causing the trans to lock, breaking axles, and possibly locking the engine causing a major accident.
I drove mine(beating on it/autocross 6 events) for 10K miles with the bad input shaft bearing and didn't have a problem. The noise will continue to get worse over time & then break apart - causing damage

Haven't done the header due to autocross - will bump to next class, a header will look a millions times better than that old ass rusty manifold!
There aren't too many exhaust I like for 88-91civic, due to the muffler sitting the way it does. The exhaust right now makes mild noise(deep), kinda like it. My next option was a flowmaster & custom pipe, trying to keep "stock" looking.
so are you saying what ever is making that sound could F*** up my new trans when i swap it in??
If you swap in a different trans, the noise should be gone unless that trans is also messed up.

Hi jackasssi,
One last question, where did you get your rebuilt transmission from?
BTW, you cars look great, you really know how to take care of your vehicles and make them look awesome!
Thanks.
