A6 Quattro Wagon - Low idle and Stall

Any help for this problem would be appreciated:
I have a 1998 Audi A6 Quattro wagon with 72,000 miles. Occasionally, when the vehicle is put in park with the engine running, the vehicle will stall. It has never stalled immediately after a cold start - only after the car has been driven and then put in park with the engine still on. The car starts back up immediately after the ignition is turned back on and drives fine.
Other times the RPM's drop to about 400 when idling while the car is still in drive, e.g. at a stop light, ATM, etc. The vehicle has never stalled while in drive, just park.
I used fuel injector cleaner, but this didn't help the problem. I'm not sure if the transmission is going, or there is a problem with the fuel system. The car drives fine and hasn't lost any performance or power since the problem starting happening.
Thanks in advance.

Tgarrett, Your throttle body is probably dirty and oily. I would clean it and then readapt the throttle. This is kind of a pain in the butt if your doing it in your driveway and with out the proper scan tool you cannot adapt the throttle. Recommend taking it to the dealer or a euro repair shop that has the abilty to adapt the throttle. Your friendly Audi tech!!
